Spring is coming!! As much as I love Fall and Winter, I can’t help but also love when Spring starts to make an appearance! Maybe it has to do with being born just 2 days before the official start to Spring, but either way, I love this time of year! Today’s mini is all about celebrating the soft and natural colors as the earth loses the snow and grey and begins to turn green!
To scrap my layout today, using the mini, I wanted to use some layers with shapes.
This is a great way to add depth to your layout and also use some of the fun patterned papers in the mini! To create this page, I worked in Pixlr the free editing software that is accessed online! I love this as a beginning alternative to digital scrapbooking! It is completely free and fairly easy to use. It isn’t the same as Photoshop, but for a free program, it works awesome! You can access it HERE.
In the following video, I show the easy steps to creating a shape and clipping a paper to it! Even without the clipping mask from PS or PSE, it isn’t too hard to work around and this video shows the trick to doing it! This technique will work in just about any program that has layers!
Okay, so now that we have a few shapes with papers added, it was time to finish scrapping the layout by adding my photos, some other elements from the mini, a title, etc.
Once it was done, I saved it in my folder to be printed and that’s it! Another album page done and another memory in the books!
Now, it’s your turn!
Grab the mini from the Resource Library and follow along with the video! If you are brand new to my site, simply fill out the form below the mini preview and you’ll receive instructions for accessing my FREE Resource Library!
