With summer right around the corner, you are probably in the planning stages for your vacation. Wherever you are vacationing this summer, you can use digital scrapbook products to help plan. I find this is a great way to get your family excited for the trip! Our family is headed to Disneyland in July and we couldn’t be more excited! It has been five years since our last trip, and I want to make it the best it can be! With two adult children, this may be our last family vacation of this kind, so proper planning is crucial!
In today’s post, I’m going to give you some ideas for creating a vacation binder. I will be gearing it towards a Disneyland vacation, but feel free to change and adapt it to fit your vacation! I will be using my Magical Vacation products to create the binder.
Let’s start off with a cover page.
For my binder, I’m going to use a regular one inch binder and create my pages in 8.5×11.
In your program, set up your document size and then pull in a paper for the background and decorate as desired. Here is what my cover page looks like:
I will print this and slide it in the plastic cover of my binder!
Additional pages that I’m making are:
Itinerary – I will have a page for each day of the trip with plenty of space to write down the plans, as we make them.
Hotels – This page will have all the information for hotel reservations as I make them. I can put down which card I used for the reservations, the dates, the amounts, cancellation information, etc. so that I have a quick and easy place to look for anything I might need.
Tickets – What tickets do I need to buy, how many, for which days? If you plan to go to more than one park, this is a very handy page.
Food – No vacation is smooth if proper meals and food isn’t planned for! And in our family, we have celiac disease as well as several allergies to plan for which makes this a very important part of my binder! I can research what restaurants will offer gluten free foods, what snacks I need to take, etc. It will be so handy as we head out on our trip.
Photo Musts – This page will be where I brainstorm of what photos I want to be sure and take while we are there! I’ve shared with you all how bad I am at remembering to take photos, so I’m hoping this will help me plan ahead and be a little more diligent in my photo taking!
As you can see, this is still a work in progress for me, and I will come back and share images as I complete all the pages! Also, here is a link to some free Disney fonts, should you want to use them in your binder or on your pages!
What would you include in your vacation binder?
