Do you love scrapping with templates? Do you use them as a basis for most of your layouts you create? Then this post is for you! I even have FREE templates for you to try it out with!
Today I’m going to walk through the 3 R’s of Templates! Get the most out of every template you buy with this simple rule: Rotate, Reduce and Reuse. To illustrate this, I’m going to use the following template as it was intended and then in the 3 different ways! In essence, using this method, you can get 4 different layouts from ONE template! Pretty cool? Great! Let’s get started!
I’m going to choose a template from this template pack which you can download from my FREE Resource Library:
I will also use my St. Patrick’s kit, Lucky which is available through my Monthly Scrap Club:
Here is my layout using the template in its basic form:
Next, I left the background layer and linked all the other layers together and rotated them on an angle. Here is the layout from that:
The next thing was to reduce or resize! I shrunk everything down and placed it in the bottom left hand corner:
And for the last one, I will reuse different elements by duplicating them and moving them around. Here is my layout after this process:
And there you have 4 different layouts all made from the same template! So easy and a great way to get lots of use from your templates!
Now it’s your turn to give it a try! Grab the pack of templates and a mini kit from the Resource Library!
