I LOVE movies! I love to celebrate movies! Once a year, many of my older kids’ friends gather in our home while we watch the Oscar’s, pick our choices, hash out our opinions and see who all the winners are! Often I haven’t seen all of the movies that are up for different awards, but I still know enough about them to throw in a little opinion or two! This year is no exception and we are eagerly waiting for the party on Sunday, February 25th at 5 pm (PST). In preparation for our party, I have created some fun and easy printables and thought I’d share them with you! I went with the theme of “A Star is Born” for several reasons. I love stars and it is so fitting to celebrate all the Stars that will be out that night! I also thought it was so fun that it is in the name of one of the movies up for Best Picture. I haven’t actually seen it, but I still thought it made a great theme!
For the party, it is traditional that I make my famous pork nachos! I actually just make all the pieces for them and everyone puts together their own. We also have soda and popcorn and lots of treats! Here is a picture of the printable files in use:
I also made a super cute little popcorn cup and forgot to include it when I did my photoshoot with everything else! But it is about 7 inches tall and is perfect for a single serving of popcorn. I plan to buy it in bulk and let everyone dish it up as they please!
I also made this fun banner! I used glue and gold glitter to make the star pop and added some gold confetti with black balloons. Feel free to dress yours up however you choose!
Last of all, we can’t forget the ballot! The writing may be a little small, but I have included all 24 categories that are voted on and that prizes will be awarded that night. I usually try and have everyone fill them out as soon as they arrive, then we can mark off the ones we were wrong about and then circle the ones we got right!
At the end of the night, the guest with the most points, get’s to take home their very own, ice, cold soda!
Here is a preview of the printable files. They are available for FREE in my Resource Library! If you’ve been here before, you know how to get to them. If you are brand new, you can fill out the form below to get the password. This will unlock the door to lots of free goodies!
