Can you guess what Sunday is? I look forward to this day every year and even hold a party for it! Can you guess? It’s the Academy Awards! And being the theatre/movie nerds that we are, this is a big day in our house! I make a big dinner, we set up guess sheets and then the lucky winner gets a prize at the end of the night after we’ve watched all the awards be handed out!
Last year was quite the moment of excitement when La La Land won Best Picture and then they realized it was a mistake! As a HUGE fan of La La Land, I’ll admit that I was quite sad when they took the title away! This year I’m cheering on The Greatest Showman for best song and Gary Oldman for Best Actor from The Darkest Hour. After that, I’m not really sure. I haven’t seen all the movies, but I’ve tried to see as many as I could! I can’t do movies that are too dark or have too much language, so that does x out a few for me.
Anyway, in honor of celebrating my love of movies, I made this cute mini! And I just had to scrap this layout with it! It reminded me of the old Hollywood days but it is really a photo of my daughter and two other cast members in the 20’s version of Macbeth she was in last month! Isn’t it a stunning photo?
And if you notice the yellow scallop on the layout, I made a video tutorial to show you how easy it is to make! I love adding scalloped edges to my pages and they couldn’t be easier! I also have the mini I used to make this page in my Resource Library, so be sure to check it out below!
To get started, watch the video below:
Now it’s your turn to give it a try! Be sure to grab the movie mini and find some movie photos (or take some of your family watching the Academy Awards this weekend!)
And if you like this mini and want to share with friends or find it later, pin the image below to pinterest!
