It’s the time of year when you pull out the highlights of the year, choose a few favorite photos and put together a newsletter to send with your card to family and friends! Maybe you’re wanting to spice things up a bit, do it a little different, but feel lost at where to even get started! I’m here with a few ideas and answers for you!
When I want a fresh idea, I like to look at different magazine layouts. It is amazing how many creative ideas are out there! Here is just a clip of what I got when I googled “Magazine Layouts” and then clicked on images:
There is little that feeds my creativity more than looking at amazing design that goes into some of the best magazine pages out there! So, that was where I started for my family newsletter!
Here is the one I found that I fell in love with and decided to use as my base:
I love the lines, the simplicity and the use of space! So, I recreated it and changed it up to fit my needs. Here is what I came up with:

I used Norwester and Quattrocentro Sans from last months Font Pairs post. You may want to load them into your program before opening the template so that it won’t change the font. Of course, if you want a different font, that works as well!
