I’ve joined a fun group of bloggers to put together a roundup of ideas for celebrating Mother’s Day. After you’ve checked out this memory book, be sure and scroll to the bottom of the post for links to the other ideas!
Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude for the women in our lives. Maybe it is your mother or your daughter or an woman who has played a large role in your life. The album idea I have created for you today is easy to put together and so fun to receive as a gift! You use CD’s as the foundation of the album which is a great way to recycle old CD’s you may not use anymore (of all those scratched ones that no longer work!)
I have all the printables you need, so just gather your CD’s (4-5) and the photos you want to use. Now its time to get started!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- photos printed at 2×2 or 2×3 size. You want them fairly small!
- Baker’s twine
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- buttons and other small embellishments
- printable files, printed and cut
Now you can begin to assemble. For the word tags, you can open the sheet of tags in a photo editing software and type in your message. Or you can print and write in your own handwriting. I have included different colored number tiles if you want to do a list such as “10 things I love about mom” or “10 things I’m thankful for”, etc.
First you’ll want to hot glue the large circles to both sides of your CD’s. Then you’ll want to punch a hole in each one.
From there, add your photos, paper pieces and embellishments to decorate as you’d like.
Here are a few of mine:
Once the pages are all complete, thread the ribbon through and keep it fairly loose so you can still turn the pages and tie it in a bow!
And that’s it! Your album is done. I printed all the pieces, including the photos from my home printer. It was so easy and fun to put together!
Here is the set of printables:
