One thing I love to do in my home is have a section of my wall that changes periodically depending on the holiday or season. I have wall art that I store with my decorations and change them out each year. It is a great way to freshen up a room, add something new and interesting and celebrate the season. This year, for Thanksgiving, I decided I wanted to make my own chalk prints. I love the look of gallery wall hangings, so I created these. (Click on the image to grab them in my Etsy Shop):
And here is how they look actually on my wall! I bought 4 frames from the dollar store:
You can also make your own, super easy! I have a pack of Thanksgiving brushes that make it easy to customize and create your own prints. (click on the image below to purchase in my The DigiChick Shop):
Here are the simple steps to making your own:
Start with the background size that you want. Most frames are 8×10 so I suggest creating your canvas at that size:
Next, fill it with the color of your choice. I went with a nice orange:
Next add the png brush files you want:
Next, simply recolor them to the color you want and/or add any blending to them. For mine, I just turned them white:
Now to print, I would create a second document at 8.5×11 and copy/paste this image into it. Print it at that and then cut out! Hang in your frame and your good to go! So easy!
