Is this even a thing? Maybe you stumbled upon our blog and wondered, what in the world do they mean by DigiCrafter.
Erika and I (Ramona), are both digital designers. We love to create fun things in Illustrator and Photoshop. We’ve both spent several years designing and selling those designs primarily for the digital scrapbook market. But recently, we started talking about ways to share what we love with lots of people!
We can create things on the computer that can then be printed, cut, glued, etc. It expands the type of projects we can do, while also cutting down on the time!
Crafting, of course, is all the fun things we love to do with our hands. From homemade cards to party supplies to the planners we pull from our purses, crafting gives us the ability to stamp our personality on to these day to day things. It is more personal and a bit more fun, than just buying the counterparts at the store! It sends an extra touch of love to anyone we pass these things on to.
So, when you combine the two, you get projects that feel homemade but with lots more ease and selection!
Think about it, you can hand cut out a banner, using a template, as well as cutting each individual letter for the banner pieces. Then you can glue the letters onto the banner, piece the banner together and hang it. Or you can buy an editable banner, quickly make the letter changes in Adobe Acrobat (free program) and print. You only need to cut along the lines, piece together and you have a banner that looks just as homemade as if you had done it all yourself!
And we have projects for every comfort level! If you want to piece together our things and create a project from scratch, you can. If you want to print something mostly put together and cut out with a pair of scissors, that works. If you have a cutting machine and want to print and cut and then assemble, our products will work for that! It really is the best of both worlds and doesn’t leave anyone out!
Watch for videos around the site that walk you through the different steps of a project or feel free to join us on social media to ask questions and get specific advice! We release new products every week so keep an eye out for all the new things coming your way!
If you like what you see here, spread the word! We want to share the ideas of digital crafting with everyone!
